Black Bear has been ranked GolfWeek’s Best Public Golf Course in Louisiana from 2010 through 2016 and named as a GolfDigest America’s Best New Course in 2007. Located just off Interstate 20, between Monroe and Vicksburg, with lakefront cabins, world-class fishing and a state of the art RV park—Black Bear Golf Club is the 'must play' on Louisiana’s Audubon Golf Trail.
Launched in 2006, Black Bear Golf Club is a 7,200 yard championship course with a layout immediately ranked as a GolfDigest America’s Best in 2007 and one of Golfweek Magazine’s BEST Courses for 2009. Black Bear plays host to the Adams Pro Tour but also attracts golfers of all levels with affordable rates, four sets of tees, and a complete practice facility.
With a slope of 141 and rating of 74.5 on our standard men's tees, Black Bear Golf Club spans a varied topography from tree-lined holes to open approaches. The result is a Bechtol-Russell championship design capable of hosting tournaments and outings, yet appealing to golfers of all skill levels. Dress Code for Black Bear Golf Club:
- Collared shirt (mock t-neck acceptable);
- Softspikes;
- Blue jeans/denim are acceptable attire during the months of December, January, and February.
